Dear Incoming Kindergarten Families,

Just a reminder, Kindergarten Parent Orientation is Wednesday, MAY 18 at 6:00 at Memorial School. This event will provide valuable information regarding your child’s journey in Kindergarten. This event is for adults. We love children but this is a Kindergarten information night for you!

Kindergarten Screening is June 1, June 2 or June 3rd. Please follow this link to select a Kindergarten Screening Appointment. Appointment slots are available from 9-1:45. The appointment will last approximately 45 minutes.

Kindergarten screening is an important prevention or early intervention tool used to determine if your child could be at risk for developmental, behavioral, or academic difficulties. Kindergarten screening is designed to pick up “signals” of potential learning or behavioral challenges before they increase in frequency, intensity, or duration. Children who are identified as at-risk can obtain assistance in a timely and effective manner. Kindergarten screening is a way to gauge your child’s current functioning and growth. It is a brief assessment of several developmental domains of functioning in young children. Your child will be screened in the following areas: Motor Skills, Concepts, Language, Phonological Awareness, and Hearing.

Please sign up for your child’s screening appointment by accessing this link: Kindergarten Screening Appointment LINK
