The Winchendon Public Schools is pleased to welcome Dr. Ruthann Petruno-Goguen as our Interim Superintendent for the 23-24 school year.
Dr. Goguen joined the Winchendon Public School District on August 14, 2023. She has twenty-three years of experience as an educational leader, with the last twelve years working as a school superintendent. Dr. Goguen has served in the following roles in public education: Superintendent, Executive Director, District Administrator for Curriculum and Accountability, Principal, Assistant Principal, K-8 Guidance Counselor, Special Education Assistant Teacher, Substitute Teacher, and parent volunteer.
Dr. Goguen earned her doctorate at New England College, her Masters of Science in Counseling from Fitchburg State College, and her Bachelors of Arts in English from Regis College.
Dr. Goguen is known for her collaborative leadership style and building strong, successful teams. She is committed to creating a community of learners where everyone is engaged in the process of supporting ALL students with a safe, engaging, and rigorous learning environment.
